Hello There Crafty Friends,
I want to let you all know that our first challenge is going on at...
The theme for this challenge is...
Embossing (wet or dry)
Here's my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here's what I used to make it...
Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock 'Pastels'
Unbranded Embossing Folder
MSE-My Sentiments Exactly Clear Stamp - Blog Candy Gift - Mary H
White Gelly Roll Pen
Flatback Pearls and Gems
Flowers
Prima Marketing Distressing Tool
Coffee Stained Gauge
Memento Dew Drop 'Rich Cocoa' Dye Ink
White Cardstock Paper
Small Piece of Sandpaper
Here's what I did to make this card...
After using the embossing folder on the ColorCore cardstock paper, I went around it with the distressing tool, then glued it onto a white card. Then using a small piece of sandpaper, I lightly sanded over the butterflies and flowers...also just a little of the branches. I wanted the core color to show through on them. I also used the sandpaper on some of the background areas, to have some of the core color show there as well. Then to make the butterflies and flowers stand out more, I used the gelly roll pen and drew over the lines. Next I added some coffee stained gauge on the top left corner and bottom right corner, then glued on the flowers. Then I glued flatback pearls and gems in the center of the flowers. I stamped the sentiment onto a small piece of paper and distressed around the edges, then taped it onto the card.
