CREATALICIOUS CHALLENGE #110 ANYTHING GOES/OPTIONAL - USE LOTS OF GREEN

Hello There Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
CREATALICIOUS
The theme for this challenge is...
Anything Goes with Optional - Use Lots of Green (St. Patrick's Day)

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is...
Cute As A Button

Here is my inspiration card using Liliana Fairy
Here is what I used to make my card...
Digi stamps by: Cute As A Button
Colored with Marco Raffine Colored Pencils
Mineral Oil - On Background For Blending
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Kirby Teesdale Studio'
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Tattered and Worn' Adhesive
Prima Marketing Comfort Craft Distressing Tool
 Darice Hemp Cord
Unbranded Leaf Dies
Paper Flowers
Darice Adhesive Tape Roller
Ad tech Crafter's Precision Glue - Fine Line
 Green Cardstock Paper

Using green paper I made the card. After cutting the Kirby Teesdale Studio patterned paper to fit, I taped it onto the center of the card. I cut the Tattered and Worn patterned paper to fit behind the image, then used the distressing tool on each side of it. Then I taped the image onto the patterned paper and added that to the center of the card. Next I wrapped a piece of cord twice around the front and behind the first patterned paper, then tied it into a knot at the top right of the card. I had only added tape to the back corners of the patterned paper, so it was easy to slip the cord behind it. Then I glued leaves and flowers onto the right side of the card, starting from the bottom, then one leaf with a flower onto the left side. To have the paper more permanent, I added some glue beneath each side.

I hope you like my DT card and it will give you some inspiration.
Happy Crafty Hugs,
Sherry x

Hi There Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
SUNNY DAY CRAFTING
The theme for this challenge is...
Besties - Optional Anything Goes

Here is my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here is what I used to make my card...
Digi stamps by: Mo's Digital Pencil
Colored with Marco Raffine Colored Pencils

Darice Embossing Folders 'Lace Doily Designs'

Double Heart Charm
Unbranded Rectangle Frame Die

Beacon Gem-Tac Glue

Using white paper I made the card. Then I embossed the bottom edge of the card with the heart shaped lace doily. After cutting the patterned paper to fit from the embossed border to the top of the card, I taped it in place. I used the rectangle frame die to cut around the image, then used the larger frame die to cut out the marbled beige paper to frame behind the image. I taped those two together and taped onto the top center of the card. Then cut a piece of the lace ribbon to fit on each side of the card and glued a piece around each side of the heart. I then glued the double heart charm on the bottom center of the card over the embossed border and glued each end of the ribbon around the front flap.

Digistamp "Juliet" by: Digistamps 4 Joy

Darice Craft Dies: Ivy Border
Beautifully Elegant Lace from my Dear Friend
Red and Yellow Flowers from Mary as well
Martha Stewart Crafts Ultimate Tool Kit
Brown Cardstock Paper for the Card

With help from my wonderful hubby, the cutting board and score board from the Martha Stewart Tool Kit, I was able to make my second 'Center Step Card'. I learned how by watching this video on YouTube. So after the cutting and scoring was done, I measured the patterned papers to fit each area, then glued them onto the card. I added lace across the bottom of the card and glued it on. I then glued the image in the center and glued a vine on each side of the image. Then I placed the flowers where I wanted them and glued them on. I so enjoy making this type of card, so very fun to do!

And that's my DT card.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

SUNNY DAY CRAFTING CHALLENGE #36 DIE CUTS/OPTIONAL ANYTHING GOES

Hi There Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
SUNNY DAY CRAFTING
The theme for this challenge is...
Die Cuts - Optional Anything Goes

Here is my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here is what I used to make my card...
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Mirabelle'
DCWV 6.5"X4.5" 'The Mariposa Mat Stack'
Simple Stories 'I Am' Frame
Tattered Lace Pacifier Die Cut
Beautiful Ribbon From My Friend Mary
Momenta 'Love' Rubber Stamp
Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'
Offray Ribbon Lace
Zots Glue Dots
Darice Adhesive Tape Roller
Beacon Gem-Tac Glue
 White Cardstock Paper

I made my card with white paper. After cutting the patterned paper to fit, I taped it to the center of the card. I then glued a piece of ribbon onto the right side of the card and tucked the end underneath the patterned paper. I cut the other patterned paper to fit behind the frame, then stamped the text on it. After it dried, I glued it onto the back of the frame. Then I added a piece of ribbon lace across the bottom front of the frame and glued the ends on the back, then glued the frame onto the center of the card. I put tape on the right backside of the gown and two glue dots on the left, that way it is taped on the frame but is raised up with the glue dots. Then I rotated it toward the left slightly and added it to the left side of the frame. I put tape on the back of the bonnet and added it to the top right of the frame, slightly rotated right. Then I put tape on the back of the pacifier and placed it at an angle above the text. After I made a bow with the ribbon lace, I glued it onto the bottom right side of the frame, over the lace.

And that's my DT card.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.
Come join us in the fun!

SUNNY DAY CRAFTING CHALLENGE #35 BOX CARDS/OPTIONAL ANYTHING GOES

Hello Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
SUNNY DAY CRAFTING
The theme for this challenge is...
Box Cards - Optional Anything Goes

Here is my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here is what I used to make my card...
Digi stamps by: Buddly Crafts
Colored with Marco Raffine Colored Pencils
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Kirby Teesdale Studio'
DCWV 4.5"x6.5" 'The Old World Mat Stack'
Tattered Lace Dies 'Florentine Flourishes'
Hand Made Modern 'Neon Craft Twine'
Paper Roses and String Pearls
Martha Stewart Crafts Ultimate Tool Kit - Score Board
Unbranded Rectangle Die
Gem-Tac Permanent Adhesive Glue
Darice Permanent Double Sided Tape Roller
Inspiration from this YouTube video

After cutting two patterned papers the same size, 5"x4.25", I then scored each end at 1/2" then 1". Then I positioned the rectangle die in the center of the top paper and ran it through the machine. Using the same die, I cut around the image to frame it. Then placing the top paper evenly over the
bottom paper, I used the opening of the top paper as a guide to tape the image onto the bottom paper. Then I did the folds on the papers, by folding the top paper mountain fold closest to center, then valley fold at the edge. The bottom paper is the opposite on the folding. Note: I didn't think of gluing the string pearls on each side of the image until after the papers were taped together. Now I know it would have been a good idea to do first, lol. Both papers are taped together evenly, on the sides. Then I glued the flourishes on, by placing parts behind the top paper and coming out onto the front of it. Kind of like a vine would travel. Then I glued the flowers at the end of the vine pieces. After making a little bow with the craft twine, I glued it onto the top left corner, over the vine.

And that's my DT card.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.

Happy Crafting,
Hugs, Sherry x

 White Cardstock Paper for Card
Flower Corner Metal Die
Flower Edge Die
Offray Ribbon 'Lattice'

I used a piece of white cardstock paper to make the card. Next I taped the corner die in place on the top left side of the card. Then taped the edge die on the bottom right side of the card. I ran it through the machine to cut and emboss it. After measuring the lattice ribbon to fit diagonal across the card, I cut it and glued it in place. I then glued the vine die cut onto the left side of the card, bringing it across to the top right side. Taking one vine die cut, I cut it in half and glued part of it onto the left side and up into the center of the card. After cutting the stems off the roses, I glued the larger ones in place. Then I glued the flourishes die cuts around the roses, just gluing the stems in place, so that they raise outward. I then glued on two smaller roses, one on the vine die cut that is hanging down on the left side of the card and the other onto the flourish die cut that is hanging down in the center of the card.

And that's my DT card.
