CUTE AS A BUTTON AUGUST INSPIRATION

Hello There My Crafty Friends,
I would like to share a card I made with y'all for the
Cute As A Button Showcase Blog

I think this image 'Summer School' is beautiful!
 Oh to be young and in school...seems like ages ago. :)
...For This Card - Step By Step...
  White cardstock for the card base.
 Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit the center of the card.
Cut a piece of red cardstock and used the paper crimper on it.
Used a frame die to cut out the image.
Used a frame die to cut out a piece of red cardstock, used the paper crimper on it.
Taped the red crimped cardstock onto the card, then the patterned paper. 
Taped ephemera paper on, red crimped frame, ephemera paper, then the image.
Glued the wooden heart and flowers on.
 Then attached a pop-dot to the back of the journey tag and put it on the card.

Colour Crazy Challenge Guest Designer

Hello There Crafty Friends,
This is my second post today as a guest designer for...
The theme is always 'Anything Goes'

The wonderful sponsor is 'Polkadoodles' 

 My son loved (probably still does) Harry Potter, so had to make something with this cutie. :)

...For my card...
I cut the image out with a frame die, then colored it with colored pencils. Used a white gel pen to make dots around the top part of the wand and a glitter pen to add sparkles. I fussy cut the sentiments out and used coffee stained gauge behind them. Used a paper crimper on a piece of black cardstock and went around the white card base with black ink.

Colour Crazy Challenge Guest Designer

Hello There Crafty Friends,
I am so excited and honored to have been asked to be a guest designer for...
The theme is always 'Anything Goes'

The wonderful sponsor is 'Polkadoodles' 

...I really enjoyed coloring/making a card with this 'Basketball' player...
 All three of my children enjoyed sports and basketball was one they all played.
I even coached little league basketball for three years with my son on the team.
The image reminds me of that and what wonderful memories it brings to mind. :)

...For my card...
I colored the image with colored pencils. Used distress oxide ink on the white card base, around the image, on the sides of the paper and on both sentiments. I also added a basketball and star brad on the card.

STAMPRINTS DT

Hello My Crafty Friends,
I want to share a card with you all that I made for inspiration as a 
DT member of Stamprints.

I love wreaths and think this one is beautiful.
...For This Card - Step By Step... 
  Embossed a piece of white cardstock for the card base.
After coloring the wreath, I fussy cut it out, then put foam mounting tape on the back of it.
Taped the wreath onto the card, then glued flatback pearls onto the wreath.

LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE #25

Anything Goes

I love these beautiful flowers and this is the second card I made with them. :)
...For This Card...
I couldn't resist adding lyrics to a song in the background. I did this with other flowers before.
Went around the image, patterned paper and card with the distressing tool.
I wanted a vintage look, so put some distress ink on the image, patterned paper and card.
Taped the patterned paper onto the card.
Cut two doily's in half and taped them onto the card.
Then taped the image onto the card and glued the flatback pearls on.

SCRAPY LAND CHALLENGE #95

Hello My Crafty Friends,
I want to let you know that a new challenge starts today at Scrapy Land. 
The theme is 'Anything Goes' using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.

...Here's what I made for this challenge...
I think this would make a good Valentine, Wedding or Anniversary card, don't you. :)

...For This Card...
The Dual Hearts Corner has a dark pink die cut beneath the light pink die cut. 
The dark pink die cut is slightly lower than the light pink, to give a shaded/raised look.
