LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE #8 - ANYTHING GOES

Here is my inspiration note cards for the challenge... 

I used purple paper to make a card. Next I glued the butterfly border on the front end. Then I cut the card in half...to get two note sized cards. I rounded the border on each note card where I had cut them in half to match the other sides.

Here is what I used to make this note card....

 Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock 'Pastels'

KaiserCraft 6.5" Paper Pad 'Fairy Dust'

Tattered Lace Dies 'Florentine Flourishes'

Darice Permanent Double Sided Tape Roller

Ad tech Crafter's Precision Glue 'Fine Line'  

Purple Cardstock Paper 

Darice Hemp Cord

Paper Roses

After cutting the patterned paper to fit the center of the card, I taped it in place. I then cut the ColorCore paper to fit the card and tore the center off...starting at the top end, then the bottom. I tied a piece of cord around the front flap of the card to hold the tag. Next I glued a flourish vine on the right bottom of the card, then glued the flowers onto it.

Purple Cardstock Paper

 Zots Clear Adhesive Dots 

 

After cutting the patterned paper to fit the center of the card, I taped it in place. I wrapped a piece of cord from the front to the back of the top flap, twisted it together and brought it back to the front, twisted it together and tied it. After putting a glue dot on the back of the butterfly sentiment, I placed it onto the tied cord.

 Note: Just in case you don't know...(KaiserCraft 6.5" Paper Pad 'Fairy Dust') has more than just papers. There are die cuts of borders, tags and sentiments.

Paper Flowers and Flatback Gems

White/Pink Cardstock Paper

Using white paper I made the card. Then I embossed the right side edge of the card with the flower shaped lace doily. After cutting the patterned paper to fit from the embossed border to the left side of the card, I taped it in place. I used the rectangle frame die to cut around the image, then used the larger frame die to cut out the pink paper to frame behind the image. I taped those two together then onto the card, slightly toward the left bottom. Next I glued the flourish die cut onto the bottom right corner of the card, slightly over the image, then glued the flowers on. Then I then glued the butterfly die cut above the top right corner of the image, slightly rotated toward the left. She's a princess, so of course she had to have some gems...I glued two of them onto the butterfly, two onto the flourish and five onto the left side of the image.

And that's my DT card.

 Green Cardstock Paper

Using green paper I made the card. After cutting the Kirby Teesdale Studio patterned paper to fit, I taped it onto the center of the card. I cut the Tattered and Worn patterned paper to fit behind the image, then used the distressing tool on each side of it. Then I taped the image onto the patterned paper and added that to the center of the card. Next I wrapped a piece of cord twice around the front and behind the first patterned paper, then tied it into a knot at the top right of the card. I had only added tape to the back corners of the patterned paper, so it was easy to slip the cord behind it. Then I glued leaves and flowers onto the right side of the card, starting from the bottom, then one leaf with a flower onto the left side. To have the paper more permanent, I added some glue beneath each side.
