LETS CRAFT & CREATE CHALLENGE #126 GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS

Hello There Crafty Friends,
I want to let you all know there is a new challenge starting today over at
LET'S CRAFT AND CREATE
The theme for this challenge is...
Girls, Girls, Girls
There is a great prize to be won too, so come on and join us in the fun!

Here is my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here's my recipe...
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Kirby Teesdale'
DCWV 4.5"x6.5"'The Old World' Mat Stack
Prima Marketing Distressing Tool
Button - from a dear friend
Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon - won gift cert from Jo’s Scrap Shack celebration
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad 'Tea Dye'
Unbranded Design Die
Paper Roses
Bow Making Tool
Cream Cardstock Paper

Here's how I made my card...
After making my card with cream colored paper, I used the distressing tool around the edges, even the fold (carefully on the fold). Then I cut the patterned paper from The Old World mat stack to fit the center of the card and used the design die on the right side of it, then I distressed around it as well. Next I went around the card edges and the patterned paper edges with the distress ink pad. I then cut a piece of the Kirby Teesdale paper to fit behind the design die cut and taped it in place. Then I taped the paper onto the center of the card. Next I cut the beautiful lady and bird image part off another piece of the Kirby Teesdale paper, then used the distressing tool around it and added distress ink. Then taped it onto the left side of the card. Next I made a bow with Pink Wrinkled Ribbon using the wonderful bow maker my hubby made for me and glued it on the right side over the design die cut. Next I curled the stems of three roses and glued them above the bow. Then glued the beautiful button on the top right corner...which I think added the perfect touch. :)

That's my DT card. I hope you like it and it gives you some inspiration.

Happy Crafty Hugs,
Sherry x

  13. This is lovely, Sherry. The vintage feel to this is so sweet and the flowers are a lovely touch. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a bow, and the seam binding is such a sweet accent. Thanks so much for playing along with us. I hope that next time you think of ribbon, you will think of Really Reasonable Ribbon for all your twines, trims, ribbons, flowers, and more. We look forward to having you play along in our challenges again soon as well. Oooo….and don’t forget about our Blog Hop on the 13th. One lucky person wins the Ribbon Club Assortment, and it could be YOU this month. I hope you will join us.

    1. P.S. No need to leave me a reply/comment here. I'm not sure if you're aware, but bloggers don't see (or even get notification) these comments. The best way is to visit our blogs and make new friends, which I hope you will do. I love to visit others' blogs often and have others visit me as well. I'd love to have you visit, follow, etc. I look forward to visiting your blog again soon. Thanks so much for sharing your talents out in blog world.
      Blessings,
      Karen
