Hello Crafty Friends,
We have a new challenge starting today over at
Digistamps 4 Joy!
The theme for this challenge is...
Anything Goes with a Twist 'Special Birthday'

Here's my inspiration card for the challenge...
Here's what I used to make it...
Digistamps4Joy - 'Ikebana'
Marco Raffine Colored Pencils
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Country Road'
Unbranded Oval Frame Die
Memento Dew Drop Ink Pads 'Rich Cocoa' and 'Lady Bug'
Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Tea Dye'
Inkadinkado 'Personal Impressions' Clear Stamp - Blog Candy
Prima Marketing Distressing Tool
Darice Hemp Twine, Gauge and Flatback Pearls
Real Leaves
Pink/White Cardstock Paper

Here's what I did...
I made the card with pink cardstock paper. Then I cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than the card. My hubby brought in a few leaves from outside for me to use, so I added ink to different leaves and stamped them on the bottom left side of the card. Then I used 'tea dye' distress ink around the paper, going in more on the corners. Next I added two strands of twine across the bottom part of the paper, tied a knot on the right side, leaving the tails hanging slightly. Then I taped the paper onto the center of the card. I used the distressing tool around the image, added the same distress ink around it, then taped in onto the card. After stamping the sentiment onto the oval frame die cut, I taped it onto the card, over the twine. Then I added a piece of gauge on each side of the image, tucking it under the sides. After that I glued three flatback pearls onto the image.

And that's my DT card.
Hope you like it and it gives you some inspiration.
Hope you come join us in the fun!

Happy Crafty Hugs,
Sherry x

  2. Beautiful card love the Zen looking image and great inspiration and effect using the leaves-might have to remember that one lol-as if I can't even remember what I went up the stairs for and come down with something completely different!!!
