...For my card...
I embossed a piece of green ColorCore Cardstock 'Glitter' using Darice Embossing Folder 'Holly Vines'. Then I die cut the largest snowflake from the Darice Embossing Essentials Dies 'Snowflakes'. Next I die cut the snowflake three times from the Signature Collection By Sara Davies Contemporary Christmas Dies 'Festive Trio'. I then cut a piece of paper from the The Paper Studio 'Tattered and Worn' Paper Pad a little larger than the green glitter paper. Then I made my card with white cardstock a little larger than the patterned paper. Using the Prima Marketing Distressing Tool I distressed around the green glitter paper, the patterned paper and the card. Then I went around both papers and the card using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad 'Tea Dye'. After the ink dried, I applied tape to the back of the green paper and attached it to the patterned paper. Then I applied tape to the back of the patterned paper and attached it to the card. Next I cut a piece of coffee stained lace and glued it onto the card. Then cut a piece of Darice Fabric Tape and attached it across the center of the lace. Next I glued the three snowflakes onto the fabric tape. I had an idea to use natural twine to make a wreath. So I wrapped like eight strands around my hand and glued the ends in back. Then I cut a piece of Darice Hemp Cord 'Natural' and wrapped it around the strands to make the wreath. I tied the ends together and glued them in back. The holly berries floral stems were in my stash, thought they were perfect for this card. I stuck one in the wreath and applied glue to the back of it. I wanted the digital image to look like it came from an old family photo album, so I cut four black triangle shapes for the corners and glued them in place. Next I glued the larger snowflake onto the upper left side of the card. Then I cut a piece of coffee stained gauge and glued it onto the right upper part of the card. After placing the image partially inside the wreath I added glue to the back of the wreath and at the bottom of the image, then glued them over part of the gauge. Next I tied a piece of Darice Hemp Cord 'Natural' on the other holly berries and glued them to the bottom right of the card. My dear husband had brought me some cedar tree pods in from outside to dry overnight, so I was able to glue them onto the wreath. I think they add the perfect touch for my wreath. :)
