LOVE TO CRAFT CHALLENGE #49

Hello There Crafty Friends!
I want to let you know that a new challenge starts today at...
Love To Craft Challenge Blog

...The theme for this challenge is...
Anything Goes

...Here's what I had a lot of fun making...
...When I saw that quote online I just had to have it on my book...
...I've been using pieces of paper to fold in half like a book for recording my blood sugar levels as I ran out of space in the booklet I was using. Then when I got really sick in March something caused my blood pressure to run so high and stay that way, that I had to go to the emergency room, so am checking that often as well. Anyway I had been thinking on making a record book so got right on it...
...There's a pocket in the front and back for notes, etc...
...I used white packaging paper for the cover, then tore small pieces to give more detail. Using Mod Podge to apply the paper to a piece of cardstock. Then used Mod Podge to add a piece of patterned paper across the inside. My sweet hubby made an awl for me so I used it to punch holes in the signature and yarn for the book binding. As you can see I added different colors of ink as I love vintage looking books and papers...
...Products Used...
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad 'Vintage Photo' - on cover/inside patterned paper/pages
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad 'Peeled Paint'- on cover
Ranger Ink Blending Tool - used with both inks for cover/pages/inside/pockets
Mod Podge - used for packaging paper/over patterned paper and quote
College Ruled Notebook Paper - cut side border off then cut in half/folded halves for pages
Awl - my hubby made for me
E-Z Runner Tape Runner - used on patterned paper (mistake as it didn't stick that well)
Tombow Liquid Glue - added a small amount on yarn knots
White Packaging Paper - for cover
White Cardstock - printed quote on
Dark Blue Cardstock - inside book cover for applying packaging paper

I hope you like my record book and it gives you some inspiration.

Our challenge runs from August 1st to the 31st.
Come on and join us in the fun!

Have a great day! Thank you for visiting.
 Happy Crafty Hugs,
