The theme for this challenge is...
Anything Goes
Anything Goes
Here is my inspiration project for the challenge...
Here's my recipe....
Scrap piece of cardboard from a box
The Paper Studio 4.5"x6.5" 'Kirby Teesdale Studio'
Darice Doily Tape
Tim Holtz idea-ology 'Salvage Stickers'
Tim Holtz idea-ology 'Ephemera Pack'
Tim Holtz idea-ology 'Paper String'
Unbranded Dress Die
Darice Embossing Folder: Dress Form Large
Prima Distressing Tool
Nail Art Orange Wood Stick, Brown/Green/Burgundy cardstock paper, buttons, ribbon, charm bracelet, scissors charm, gauge, washi tape, flatback pearls and flatback gems from my stash
This is my first mixed media project. I really enjoyed creating it.
Here's what I did...
For my canvas, I cut a piece of cardboard off a box. Then I tore the top paper off so that the inner part would show. For the pesky part of paper that didn't want to come off, I used a nail art orange wood stick...though anything with a fine tip point will work. I left some of the paper here and there, just for a different look. I cut burgundy paper to fit behind the embossed dress forms and brown paper to fit behind the patterned paper. Then I distressed all edges of each paper, except for the patterned paper. I glued the burgundy paper behind the dress forms paper, then with the patterned paper, I slanted it slightly left and glued it onto the brown paper. Next I glued the dress forms paper slanted slightly right onto the side of the patterned paper. I glued this onto the top center of the canvas. Then tucked some gauge across the top, underneath the paper. I then glued a paper ruler to the left side, slightly under the brown paper. Next I glued paper with a picture of buttons on it, on the top, behind the brown paper, slightly slanted right. I then added some doily tape across the bottom of the brown paper. I used some of the patterned paper and green paper to glue onto the back of the dress die cut. Then I glued the dress slightly slated right onto the right side of the dress forms paper, to where it covers one dress form, with the top of the dress form showing. I added a piece of washi tape across the bottom part of the canvas. I then glued a paper with a picture of safety pins slanted right slightly behind the burgundy paper, onto the right side of the canvas. Then added a paper thread spool label on top of that. I tucked and glued the charm bracelet behind the burgundy paper and the ruler onto the left side of the canvas. Then glued a paper moth onto the left side. I glued four buttons across the washi tape. Then glued the paper dress form onto the center of the papers. I tied a piece of paper string onto the scissors and glued them to the left side top of the patterned paper. Then made a bow with ribbon and glued it below the paper dress form, onto the washi tape. I then added an S and a G (my initials) stickers onto the left side of the washi tape. For last I glued three flatback gems onto the brown paper, left side bottom. Then I glued one gem onto the top part of the paper dress form and three onto the dress die cut...where the flower cutouts are on the bottom. Then I glued a flatback pearl onto each embossed dress form, one in the center of the flower on the dress and one on the paper moth.
If you read this far, shew :) thank you. :)
And that's my DT project.
I hope you like it and it will give you some inspiration.
